Description

The SpeedFactory DBD-1000 Dual Backdoor Intercooler is built with a high quality 3.5″ thick SpeedFactory Air-to-Air Intercooler Core, featuring bar and plate construction with a very specific staggered fin combination engineered to achieve maximum cooling efficiency while minimizing pressure drop. Our custom engineered end tanks are carefully hand-formed in house from H-3 5052 aluminum and are fully TIG welded. This 850HP-1000HP rated, smooth-flowing intercooler was designed specifically to fit tidily between the front framerails on street/racing applications, and requires minimum charge pipe lengths.

This intercooler comes standard with 3″ inlet / 3″ outlet bead rolled tube ends.

All of SFR intercoolers ship complete with the SpeedFactory logo stenciled on the face of the core and have M8x1.25mm aluminum mounting bungs already attached for easy installation. Deliver significantly cooler, denser air to your engine with a performance proven SpeedFactory Racing Intercooler.

This breather setup is engineered to provide the sufficient crankcase ventilation your high-performance engine needs, and also condenses crankcase blow-by oil and moisture correctly. The factory PCV system is replaced and all oil vapors are vented to the atmosphere through the laser cut logo. The integrated coolant overflow tank saves precious engine bay space and replaces the unsightly factory plastic unit. Our catch cans are CAD designed and CNC press punched using the latest state of the art technology. The catch can and all billet fittings are professionally TIG welded to top off that ultra clean look, and each unit ships with an aluminum mounting bracket attached for ease of installation. This catch can occupies the factory battery and fuse box location on 92-00 Honda Civic and 94-01 Acura Integra. A necessity when installing the Ultra Street Intake Manifold on the 06-15 Civic Si. The adapter has a 72mm opening and a 71mm exit as well as a MAP Sensor and 1/8" NPT accessory port for additional flexibility.  The SpeedFactory Billet B-Series Breather Port Plug was designed specifically for use on Honda/Acura B-Series engines to block off the OEM "black box" breather port. This allows you to utilize the (2) M28 threaded holes on the back of the engine block for your aftermarket oil catch can/breather system, resulting in the proper crankcase ventilation your high-performance engine needs.

Installation Notes: We recommend thoroughly cleaning the port in the block and the plug with brake parts cleaner prior to installation, and then liberally coating it with Honda Bond or Permatex Ultra Grey and allowing it to cure for 24hrs before use. This will act both as lubricant to facilitate installation and then will setup and bond the plug into the block so that it does not blow out in the case of abnormally high crankcase pressures such as during the event of a piston failure.
More than a decade ago, Skunk2’s engineers looked to the popular Integra Type R intake manifold for inspiration and went back to the drawing board. Skunk2’s Pro Series Intake Manifold in our signature Black Series finish for Honda's B-series VTEC engines (GS-R only) features a larger plenum and oversized runners when compared to the ITR manifold for maximum horsepower and torque gains. Instead of producing a manifold with a significantly oversized plenum and excessively short runners that would sacrifice mid-range power, the Pro Series manifold was designed for the “street enthusiast” who wants more power but doesn’t want to sacrifice mid-range performance to get it. The results are improved airflow, an enhanced venturi effect, and both mid-range and top-end power gains. Skunk2’s cast-aluminum Pro Series Intake Manifolds for Honda’s B-series engines are a direct-fit replacement for all B-series engines thanks to three separate flange designs and are compatible with all factory sensors and throttle bodies as large as 75mm. Pro Series Intake Manifolds offer horsepower and torque gains greater than competitors’ manifolds but without compromising mid-range power output. The design incorporates specially tapered runners as well as a larger, tapered plenum that together preserve mid-range power but increase and accelerate airflow to allow for significant top-end power gains. Pro Series Intake Manifold runner exits are also machined to best match the cylinder head’s ports. Skunk2’s Pro Series Intake Manifold’s shape and design also increases wave scavenging effects at the engine’s ideal operating range, which allow for a broad increase in usable power. Skunk2 is a familiar name in the intake manifold business, with more than 10 years of experience designing, testing, and building them. Similar to OEM manifolds, Skunk2’s Pro Series Intake Manifolds are shell-molded from 356-aluminum, CNC-machined for superior strength, a precise fit, and a high-quality finish, and vacuum-tested for quality. Each manifold is molded with smooth transitions from the throttle body opening to the plenum to the runners with clean parting lines for an optimal finish, both inside and out and features a genuine Skunk2 nameplate.
