Specifications:
This shift knob is designed with a popular tear drop shape. This shape is very comfortable in your hand. You might notice that the cross hatch pattern is machined a little deeper. This was done to provide additional grip, especially in race applications.
The knob itself is constructed with a 2 piece design with a hidden locking nut. This will allow you to position the knob with the K-Tuned logos facing in any direction you like. Once the logos are positioned well, the final step will be to apply the top K logo sticker. We have machined a shallow pocket that will keep the sticker in place perfectly at the very top.

The K-Tuned Billet Shift Knob is the result of quite a bit of customer and racer feedback. We already offer several K-Series shifter upgrades so it was definitely time for us to develop a clean and functional shift knob. The process begins with a solid billet bar of 6061 aluminum, and each knob is machined to final size on a CNC lathe. After the lathe, the blank knobs are sent out for the anodizing process. The black is hard anodized and the colors are regular anodized. During the final step, each knob is chucked up on a 4-Axis CNC mill to precision cut in the unique grid pattern that was designed to improve shifter grip. This final step is so critical that we actually have a 5% scrap rate. On cable shifter setup we found that a weighted knob can cause shifting problems for some drivers because the neutral return spring has to work harder to pull the shifter back to the center. So instead of going to the heavy side we found a good weight (5.5 oz) that is just enough to allow confident and accurate shifting while still keeping enough weight to help the front to back shifts. Shift knobs are finished in a variety of colors with our K-Tuned logo on two sides. On top we engraved our signature K logo. A custom made jam nut is included to keep the knob locked in place. This knob is a great way to finish off any shifter setup.

Our new TR shift knob is based on the FK8 Type R shift knob. We used it as a base and made some changes to the design we think will really add to it the fit and finish. First we offer it in three colors (Black, Red, and Silver).
Each knob comes with two jam nuts that match the original knob. One is a traditional side jam nut with a finishing ring and flat surface for 14mm wrench to secure. The other jam nut is a bonus, it will not work on all shift boots. It allows you to remove the stock collar and use our nut as a shift boot collar and lock nut. The installation process for this is a little unique but easily manageable. We have installed on several Hondas during designing of it. Instructions will help with this process. Overall this gives us a very unique experience with selecting a shift knob.

Our strain shift knob operates similarly to our previous Pro-Shift Cut Shifter. Giving a working range that can be ignored and a set value to cut above and below. This allows you to scale how much pressure is required to initiate a cut. This can be set directly inside most higher end ECUs. We also offer a programmable interface that takes the complications out of the system and can be programmed with a few buttons and easily recalibrate anytime. This is also a great option for those working with simpler ECUs that may not have all the options like Kpro or S300 for example.
This is designed to work with sequential or dog box transmission.
